I just got the TB. I switched from T-mobile and had a Samsung gravity 2.
I was thinking of getting a droid 2 but got the TB it was the same price*after discount*
What I am worried about is the battery life. Has anyone got this fixed by version or did they have to buy a different battery?
I don't want to be out of the house a few hours and have my phone just up and die on me. Should I switch to the droid? Or is there a way get up the battery life? The store said they would look at it but I am not sure what they would do. I am really worried. *had it since Sunday march 20th*

There are a few tips and tricks for improving the batter life which you can see posted above as a sticky. However the Thunderbolt is one of the best Android phones on the market, I wouldn't exchange it. I'm a fairly moderate to heavy user of my phone and I'm able to get through the day. The only time's my phone really needs to be plugged in are if I do A LOT of streaming/navigating. Which normally kill any phone.

I think I saw something that said you can go down to 3g if you are in a 3g area. I am in SLC and it is 3g in parts or edge in area haha...I am still reviewing. I think it is fear of the unknown. Like if I go out, have my son, and can't call haha...
I wouldn't know whats best. I just ask friends. But sometimes it is not the best to do that.

Already seeing improved battery life myself. Bump charge, get Juice Defender or another app, and surround yourself with chargers. You'll also be able to grab an extra hour or two out of the 1600 mah Seidio battery if you buy it. This device is well worth it.

I left my house Sunday at 1 pm with a fully charged battery and went to Disneyworld (Great 4g all over Disney, THANKS VERIZON!) Anyways, I took about 50 pictures, used the navigation twice to find the water park. Played songs on the hour drive home through Bluetooth to my stereo and used navigation for 30 minutes of that drive as well. Got home at 10:15 and had 36% battery left.
