First thing that irritates me: poor memory management (?)

Hello everyone,

OK, so this is probably the first thing that irritates me with the Note 4. For example when I'm searching for a keyword on Twitter and I have scrolled for a bit, and then I open a browser to browse something, and then when I get back to Twitter my search is lost and it goes back to the main timeline! Or when I'm browsing a mobile version of a Tumblr or Wordpress blog and I've reached page 7 or something and I switch to Twitter for a minute and when I switch back to the browser it's back to page 1! This was not something I expect from 3 GB of RAM. And it's not like I have many apps running in the background either. Is there any workaround for this? This never happened with my iPhone 5 (not that I would go back to it).

Welcome to Android Central! Can you confirm with us that you're using the Recent Apps function to switch between apps? As opposed to tapping the Home button and then tapping on the previous app's shortcut to open it again?

wow to be honest I rarely use the recent apps function as there's a lag when opening it. I didn't know it makes a difference.

I'm not sure it will make a difference, but it's worth trying.

This will solve your problem. I have found that opening the app again is like starting over a lot of the time. Opening the app from the recent apps usually switches back to the app where you last used it.

I started noticing when I moved from the iPhone to the note 4 the same thing. But I realized I was hitting the back button basically its like quitting the app. I learned if you just use the home button or recent apps works too your app will stay in place
