Fix for Incompatible Apps in Play Store? (For our phone)

I know there have been several posts for issues regarding incompatible apps on the Market all over the internet and allot of them say to edit your build.prop file. That doesn't work on my phone (maybe all Optimus V's?).

I do have me LCD Density changed, and I realize this makes the Store flip out, I know. However, when I set the density back to normal (160) and clear the market's cache and data it works again. My question is does anyone know of a "fix" to make all the apps, or most of the apps compatible? Or at least of a way to trick the phone to think the density is at 160 when it's really 130? :-!

I don't have any answers for you, but why change your density in the first place? Just curious.

We had this issue at over in the Nook Color forums as the default dpi used to be 161, it caused all sorts of problems. The only fix without changing your dpi is to go way back to the "green" market and then block market updates. That is if the "green" market even still works.

I download to my nook running CM7 (yeah I should upgrade) then sideload to my OV, or vice versa. Don't know if that's an option for you.

I do it too, mine is set at 120. Gives me more screen real estate to rearrange / stack widgets and just makes everything look "sharp," if that makes sense.

The kindle fire you just have to change your building.prop to the Samsung galaxy tab and you can get all apps. A lot of the roms include it even

It worked on my phone (Lg Optimus V). Just follow the instructions in the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_qVtUkzMw0). If you follow the written code you have to substitute this line of code ro.build.fingerprint=google/soju/crespo:2.3.4/GRJ22/121341:user/release-keys with ro.build.fingerprint=google/soju/crespo:2.3.4/GRJ22/12134:user/release-keys.....The original written instructions added a 1 where it should not be.
