[FIX FOR] Netflix "syncing" issue

When I hit cancel, it backs out of the app. Says I "must" update to use the app. Hitting ok takes me to market.

Haven't had the opportunity to run Netflix on my device for a few months now so it sounds like things have changed. Update: It works like a charm. Be sure to uninstall any other versions of Netflix before installing or it will fail.

The only fix for the green bar is to use a cm7 rom.

I am a bit of a newb. Can you point me in the direction of what a "cm7 rom" is? I am assuming it has to do with programming a rooted phone?

Mgardner323's version works great. It stays in sync and doesn't ask to update. Thanks. Also to who it may comcern, lookout security scanned it after install and didn't find any malware like a different post mentioned.

wow...it works....i was running 1.2.2 but it would not let me run it anymore. It kept saying I had to update it. Whatever you did to this, thank you very much.

Link to the 1.2.2 Netflix apk is borked. I searched the name of the file and found it on another site but it tells me I have to update.

Can you fix the link?

Tried downloading this from first post but, it did not run after the install. I could not go past the update prompt. When I hit cancel it just stops the app. I tried reinstalling, and then i tried installing from the second DL link. No luck. I am running CM7 on Optimums V, and uninstalled the latest version that did not work before installing this one. Did I miss something? Is their another DL link for the mgardner323 version that has no update check?

I take no credit for this and found it looking around xda site but these versions of Netflix disables market update checks I tested it and it worked.
Side note I had to uninstall the version of Netflix I had on my phone and only tested 2.2 and it worked with NO UPDATE SCREEN. Follow the link below.

Just wanted to repost what he said here...I'm gonna test it out and update to let you guys know if it works because the update notification is annoying

EDIT: On my phone it doesn't work...just says to update again....so YMMV
EDIT 2: APK's for 1.4.0 and below work for not asking to update but still have a syncing issue

App just closes when I hit the 'Cancel' Button. Fix not working.

I found a way to get around the force close after update check. Pretty simple:

1. Turn Airplane mode on
2. Start Netflix app - Wait for "no connection" error
3. Turn Airplane mode off
4. Tap "Retry" for the connection error

Hopefully this helps some. If you have quick access to Airplane mode via holding the power button this process should be easy. Otherwise try using switch apps by holding home button to get between "Settings" app and "Netflix"
