FIXED - any way to get rid of music/pause banner on watchface?

I found when I play music on my phone a banner with artist name and a pause button appears across the bottom half of watch face. If I swipe to left, I get track forward and back and volume up and down buttons.
Problem is, the banner covers the time display on many of my watch faces. Is there any way to not have this banner display?

My LG G has similar controls but you have to manually start it from app list - either that or swipe from watch face to access them, I forget which, all I know is that the screen isn't automatically covered by any banner when playing music.

Trying to decide whether I want to keep this 360 or not and this could be deciding factor. Thanks for any pointers.

OK, figured it out - swipe down from just above the banner, swipe up from bottom of screen to bring it back. I had tried swiping down but from top of screen so was only bring down the mute thing. Tried it on my G, too, swiping up from bottom brings it up and down makes it go away, but it doesn't automatically appear when music starts to play like it's doing on the Moto.

Hi,

You should be able to stop the banner displaying by blocking notifications for whatever app you use to play music in Android Wear.
