So I've had issues charging my Note 20 U for a few months now and it's gotten progressively worse to the point I had to forcibly hold the charging cable in or it wouldn't charge. Trust me when I say it got very frustrating putting the phone down to charge to discover it l quit charging when I walked away.

Used my S Pen for the first time in a few months, discovered the inside of the silo had metal shavings in it, made me wonder if that was the case with the charge port.

So figuring it won't charge anyway, shoved a metal pick used by dentists to clean teeth into the usb c port and scrapped around and a ton of metal shavings came out.

Charge port works fine again. Lol

Felt like sharing this story since I've complained about my charge port in a few threads. If anyone is wondering why my phone would have metal shavings, I cut and drill holes into metal on a regular basis at work so it must have gotten into my pockets and into the phone over time.

Wow! Glad you were able to figure it our. Can't imagine having to hold the cord to have the phone charge...

It may also be possible to fix teeth with a SIM-tray opener.

Thankfully I had wireless charging that I used most nights but beyond frustrating when i needed to fast charge my phone.

I keep mine in my pocket for the step counter, had no idea debris was getting into the phone. I build/assemble garage door track currently so I'm cutting metal all night at work.
I see , i weld/drill myself in the shop so long sleeves gloves , apron etc...
