Flaky WiFi Calling

WiFi calling on a Nexus 5x using T-Mobile is not always available as a feature. That is, the feature when enables and set as a preference, does not always persist. T-Mobile WiFi calling when it is on works great. It's just not always staying on.

Seeing the same thing with my Nexus 6p, and the Nexus 6. For me it looks like it's related to a combo of Wifi AND Tmo signal level. At one of our offices we're 200' from a tower, and it will lock perfectly to Tmo Wifi all day long there.

At home I am in a fringe area; so outside I get reasonable service, but hit or miss inside. I have virtually no wifi interference as rural area (with leaves off the trees, I see *one* neighbor SSID occasionally in one side of the house.) Also a 150/150 FIOS connection which is super reliable. My AP is a 802.11ac 2.4/5ghz. If I am near the access point, Tmo Wifi calling super stable. This is also the side of the house where I get some band 12. If I go to the other end of the house, and the phone is in my pocket, I'll still be on wifi, but signal will drop a bit, and I lose wifi calling every time. It will show service, but say "Emergency calls" or "No service" even though it shows Tmo signal (not the dreaded empty triangle). Walk back towards the access point, signal level goes up, kicks right back over to Wifi calling.

Went to see the in-laws yesterday and same deal. Fringe area for Tmo... near Wifi access point and no problems with wifi calling. Walked away, Wifi signal level drops a bit and lose Wifi calling.

Anyone else missing calls on Marshmallow with T-Mobile WiFi Calling Preferred turned on?

I've run into this before on earlier builds. Call comes in. Phone doesn't ring. Caller gets sent directly to voice mail. Phone App X silently pushes a missed call notification which you find long after the fact (or after somebody barks at you for blocking their calls).

Is there an honest-to-god fix for this? I've seen people claim that a factory reset fixes the problem but only temporarily.

I too have wifi calling issues.... grrrr Tmobile seems to have no care. With one update it works and the next it sucks.

Disabled mine because, besides the poor audio quality, it old disconnect whenever I would get out of WiFi range
