Flash for X

I thought the X was installed with "flash lite". After trying to go to some websites and all of them saying that Flash was required, I called Verizon to find out what was going on. The rep tells me that the X does not come with any flash software installed and that it will get it when 2.2 comes out. That I already know but I was under the impression that similar to the Incredible the X has Flash lite. Anybody else have this issue?

The Dinc came with Flash Lite, but not the DX. I read just about everything I could about the DX and never saw anything saying it would come with it. Just have to wait for the update next month.

I had a Droid Inc and the browser worked great with Flash lite but that is an HTC only thing. We have to wait for the 2.2 update as stated above.

This is also what i heard... I am not worried about flash lite for the moment, as long as it will be out with 2.2

Steps to get Flash on the Droid X:

1) Wait 3-5 weeks for 2.2 to get pushed out to us

2) Profit!



Actually, if you really need to see basic flash content before then (like flash videos) you could use the Skyfire browser, which uses a proxy browser to get the content to you (I don't recommend doing your banking over it, but it's nice for web surfing).

The one thing that sucked having flash on my rooted droid was the amount of advertisements that could finally be displayed when surfing the web.
