:DI have gotten so comfortable flashing roms thanks to help from all the good people here, that I have gone sort of "flash happy". I have switched back and forth between so many that I am afraid I have lost track of what I am actually running. LOL Is there any way to tell what rom I am on now? :D

go to settings -----> "about phone"

what is the Baseband, Kernel and Build number?

Firmware 2.2.1
Baseband S:i500.04 V.EB01
Kernel 2.6.32.9
Build SCH-I500.ED01

It seems to say the same no matter what I flash, I'm pretty sure I just flashed the new community rom. Wouldn't it say that somewhere?

no, there is no way to tell what rom you flashed except by remembering it yourself.

you are on the ED01 Build, so you can go ahead and reflash the new com rom if you want to be sure

There is no way to tell just by looking at your phone info what ROM or kernel you are running. Obviously you are still running the EB01 modem because that is your baseband. You just have to keep track yourself what you are running. If you want to clear out completely and start fresh so you know what ROM and kernel you are running, you can flash the stock vzw EB01 file in ODIN, then build up from there:

Like you, I was unsure where I was anymore! haha. I've been flash-happy these last few days!
Yesterday I flashed back to stock vzw EB01 via ODIN, then updated OTA (2x) until I was stock ED01. I checked it to make sure it was running smooth. Then I ODIN'd cwm fix all (red) then flashed the comrom.zip via cwm. I checked it out to make sure I was good. Then I flashed the patch v1. Then what do you know, they added patch v2, so I flashed that too. So I built up from scratch, now I know EXACTLY where I am, and everything is running smoother than home-churned Alabama butter... mmmm

Worked for me, anyhow! :D

Ok. Thanks. That would be a good app-what rom you are running. LOL

I have seen is suggested somewhere to make a folder on your sd card called "current setup" or something to that effect. Then you move your current ROM, kernel, theme, patches, mods, whatever into that folder so you know what you are currently running. Keep everything else in a common folder, then when you switch, move all the old to the common folder, move the new to the "current setup' folder and flash from the current setup folder.

Since we're on topic here, what's the difference between the build and the modem? I ask because I think I've read about ED01 builds and ED01 modem. Maybe.

Modems and radios are different names for the same thing, right?

I am, as of about 8 minutes ago, running baseband EC01 (up from EB01) and build ED01. What's the easiest way to explain this to me?

If you were to look in your settings and you saw tsm parts listed you would know its CommRom. If you looked in settings and saw CyanogenMod settings it could CyanogenMOD 6.2 or 7.0
