Flash Video issue

Here's step-by-step what I'm doing so you can reproduce

1) Grab your ICS powered Razr Maxx (or Razr I assume)

2) Use the stock browser to navigate to Blip - discover the best in original web series

3) Pick any show. I tried most on the home page but for ease try KPCS: Dan Harmon #150 | Kevin Pollak&#39s Chat Show on Blip

4) Tap the little cinema icon to play

5)Watch show but notice the inability to pause, fast forward/rewind, and notice that no matter how much you tap the video is not full screen. It's still embedded in the page.

As I said in previous posts, I have tried this same process on every browser I can think of. Some just crash, some don't play at all. I've also checked my neighbor's Razr Maxx to confirm it's not just mine.

To fully illustrate I used my partner's Droid Bionic to make these comparison videos. (please excuse the vidography skills but you can clearly see the difference)

First of all if people would read it says " Existing installations of Flash Player may or may not play Flash video properly." Meaning everyone who already had it before the update will be able to use and update it. Those who never had before and buy this phone new after this update will not be able to download the update. Also the picture is of a document that came out the day of testing the software so it is not out of date. Seeing as Verizon said the update started on the 22nd,which was only for the soak members, I am not going to trust their documents over the maker of the phone. Like I said that is an official changelog photo released on the 22nd so believe what you want. I know what the maker of the phone is telling me and honestly that's all that matters. Also the original link I posted to adobe was someone else on the motorola forum trying to tell people the same and that's what they showed so yes I agree that was a bad site to look at but that's all I could show people not involved in testing.

That isn't how the play store works. If the app is not certified for your device it is not available, just like the disclaimer says. If the RAZR was no longer certified, we would not be able to download the app at all.

I will confess to the fact that since installing ICS, using flash has been in a pain in the ass for me.

Oh and one other thing: where is the consumer-facing identification of this change? Seriously, if they actually did it, there would be something, somewhere that informs customers about it.

I have found a fix (at least for MY issue)

Dolphin Browser HD, change user agent to iPhone (causes browser to ID on the Web as an iPhone) and you're good.

I had used Dolphin before and messed with the user agent, but never thought to switch to anything other than Android or Desktop.

Solved

That doesn't solve it. You are simply defaulting to HTML5. Sure, the website that you are used works with HTML5, but many websites like collegehumor do not offer the alternative, and simply will not play.

I'm having a similar issue when i try and watch embedded flash video on a site the advertisement plays but the main video never does all i get is a blk screen. And im using Dolphin Browser.

I encounter the same issue with ICS on HTC OneX. All the famous browser that can play flash videio does not offer any control anymore. It is a nightmare when playing video on sites with tons of embedded pop ups.
