flash write debricking failure

Hello. Today my mothers ASUS tablet stopped working. It just shows when turned on "powered by Android" logo and message "flash write debricking failure". Then shuts off. What is the cause of problem?

That may indicate hardware failure.

Can you boot into Recovery?

What's the exact model number of the tablet? I don't think ASUS has made a tablet in a long time (for the US market, at least), so the device is probably pretty old. Therefore, it's also more likely to experience a hardware failure (as mentioned above by belodion) or firmware corruption.
