flashed kernel now stuck in a boot loop

heres the deal, I am roote the HTC way and I have twrp running. I am on clean rom 2.4. I flashed thRCMIX_3D_EVO_kernel_v2.2.3is kernel ,,,,,,,,,now i am stuck in a boot loop.....i have pulled another kernel that is stock modified, i then flashed it in fastboot. this brings me out of the bootloop and everything starts up just fine, but when I restart my phone, I get into that dang bootloop again...what is the deal? please help

here is an update---------i fastbooted into recovery, then i flashed my rom again and then used the advance setting and went back to bootloader and then did fastboot boot boot.img of the stock modified kernel and this worked. I am out of the bootloop......woo thank god...i knew i didnt brick it because i could get into bootloader and thats a good thing lol.

Ya, you shouldn't flash kernels for 2.3.3 ROM on a 2.3.4 ROM. lol Live and learn!

Where can I find the modified kernel that you used and what exactly did you changed in the Advanced settings. Thanks

scott, i didn't realize that it was a 2.3.3, sorry dude.......and for as the stock modified kernel i believe i just pulled the boot.img from clean rom and then just flashed it from recovery in fastboot...it was either from the clean rom or the back up stock rom i have stored on my pc....
