Hello all I just flashed liquid been on it for the last week. Unrooted prior to that. I only used 3g because I am plagued by the data drop on 4g. I am on 4.0.4 radios and losing battery like crazy I'm on my third charge of the day and back at 50%. While stock I could go 6-8 hours without charges now maybe 2 -3

Its because your phone is not sleeping. Get a app like better battery stats to see why your phone is awake so much..

Just curious to see if anything changed for you in here. BetterBattery Stats is great recommendation but I would also download CPU spy from the market just to see what % of load the CPU during the time you get the large drains.

I think there was a gps + Google wallet bug I read about that keeps your phone awake, I'd Google it I know there's an update.zip for it. I just got 4.5 hrs screen on time today so somethings up. Google "deep sleep wallet fix"

If he was on Liquid 1.35 that fix was included in the version, if he was on 1.3 then I would say for sure that would be the problem.

I've used them all I think and I prefer badass battery monitor for checking what's causing wakelocks. That's definitely OP's problem, you can see you have a ton of awake time in your intervals where the screen is off for long periods, so something you have installed is running amuck in your system.

Thx all. I switched to gummy from and getting about 6 hours with 4g off. I need to try a new sim card. I appreciate the help. I may switch back to liquid one day.

6 hours with 4g off still seems really low depending on your usage. Did you find what was eating up your battery life via BetterBatteryStats or Bad Ass Battery?

I just installed bad ass battery this morning. I dunno if that regulates or just monitors but I'm at 5.5 hours at 50% I can live with that bit I'm also on wifi. I'll post a pic very soon of battery stats

I don't want to swap for a razor maxx but it has crossed my mind but that thing is ugly. My main issue is #1 4g data drop but I will be trying a new sim card this week. #2 YouTube always buffers never did it on my tbolt. #3 the battery drain that I can live with coming from a bolt. I also have the 2100 battery which helped.

Also I appreciate everyone's help

What Kernel are you using? One that came with Liquid? Also, what version of Liquid are you running? 1.35? Your Kernel should not be eating up as much as it is, my app usage generally is dominated by Android System after Screen. Kernel should not be taking up that much battery.

I switched from liquid to gummyrom. I'm guessing its a stock kernel or liquids. Should I try a Franco kernel with gummyrom

With 11 hours of use and almost 4 hours of screen time, who wants to leave Liquid? :D

Personally I love Franco kernel with hot plug enabled and running the 192 setting. Seeing excellent battery life with that on Liquid.

Jeez is there a link for Franco. Or do you use the app

I use the app, just quicker and easier. If you want the 192 CPU clock setting you need to download the nightlies for that since Milestone 3 still does not have that setting. I would not recommend doing the auto-flash feature, I would just download the zip and boot into recovery and flash it yourself.

I know its a lot of work to get your phone working right when you find a bug but trust me, its worth it. I have been "tinkering" with my device to get it just the way I want it and I love this device even more!

Oh yeah btw I meant jeez cuz you guys are getting crazy battery life. I will tryout the Franco app. I'm familiar flashing zips with recovery somewhat but never messed with a kernel. I will update you all cuz last I checked my kernel was up to 25% consumption !!

OK I have Franco milestone 3 running. Kernel consumption dropped to 3%. Question about governor. It is set to interactive would I get better life on hot plug or on demand ? Also looks like my data drop may have improved to early to tell.

For best battery life either use Conservative, Hot Plug or Lazy. Ill give you a quick explanation to the best of my ability...

Conservative should theoretically give you the best battery life since it will scale the power based on load and will do its best not to give too much juice to the CPU. Hot Plug I believe works on the same scale as Lazy but it will keep one of the CPU cores asleep while it is not needed (not to be confused with Hot Plug Setting in the next tab of the app that will disable a core when the screen is off). Lazy is just another governor that I like that is a good balance between conservative and something like Interactive.

I currently am using Interactive since I have nightly 158 that gives me the option to have the cpu speed of 192 which is underclocked.
