flashing a new rom question, liberty?

ok so i have the apex rom flashed now and i love it. but i am considering trying out liberty. i have only flashed one rom before and it went super smooth. but my question is when flashing a new rom, do i need to go back to stock or will my previous nandroid backup still be on my sdcard? in otherwords, once your rooted and have a backup of your stock rom, your good to go.

Your previous nandroid will still be there, but if you like the apex ROM, you might want to make a new nandroid backup before flashing something else. Then, if you don't like whatever you flash, it just takes a couple of minutes to put apex back on.

thanks... i still have the apex.zip file on my sdcard... but from what i hear, i will probably like liberty better...

two bits of advice when hopping from rom to rom.
1) follow the dev's instructions from the offical thread for the rom. they sometimes contain specific methods and additional points to consider.
2) always wipe data and cache. it's tempting to want to save all your configuration because it's a pain in the @ss to redo everything. Not doing this though CAN cause bootloops.
