Flashing Dot while on call

Has anyone noticed a flashing Dot above the clock while on a call. Mine does that only while on a call. If it's normal, what is it?

It’s the proximity sensor. One of the random but tolerable side effects of not having a notch.

Yeah proximity sensor you can see this on calls and when you dial your voicemail
