I am considering flashing Das BAMF 1.5 Remix on my TB and I was wondering if there was any difference in flashing when flashing a Radio or Kernal using CWM. Is it basically wipe both caches and data then flash kernal and radio?

I know after flashing the radio you need to dial *228 then something but before I did this was wondering if some could enlighten me about this since I know the new 1.5 DasBamf requires a new radio.

Don't dial *228 after updating the radio. That won't do anything. Download the file and rename it "PG051IMG.zip". Put it on your SD card (on the root, not in any folders). Turn your phone off. Hold volume down and don't let it go while powering it up. This will pit you in hboot. It will scan, see the file, and ask you if you want to update. I would say yes...

I don't think the BAMF "requires" a new radio. It will include your stock radio.
If you want the "new" leaked radio, you will have to load it after the 1.5 ROM.

I for one have tried the leaked radio and the signal was worse and it ate my battery.
I'm back on the factory radio. Your mileage, of course, may differ.

I just didn't want you to think you "had" to use the updated radio for this ROM (which, is great and I love it...)...it's a choice of preference.

my limited tech knowledge precludes me from doing any of this but i did see a thread on xda's site (stickied) that discusses this question in pretty good detail. i'm trying to get a better grip on the inner workings of my phone. so i find myself wandering all over a bunch of diff forums(i love tapatalk) when i'm working. just thought i'd throw that out there. Oh s*^t gotta go, my boss is gonna kill me....

So if I do decided to flash to Das Bamf 1.5 I don't need the radio posted on XDA? Just an option?

Correct. Or if you try it, the old radio files have been posted and you can go back.

Good luck

My only advice would be to download all 4 radio files.
New LTE/CDMA
New LTE/Old CDMA
New CDMA/Old LTE
Factory

I dl'd all 4, put them in a folder called Radio on my SD. Just because...:)

I agree completely...
Here in the Des Moines, IA area - the new LTE/CDMA worked best (even though I can't get 4G speeds here) - other peeps in different parts of the U.S. are reporting different results... :shrugs: I know that for me, the original/stock radio did not allow me to SMS after flashing to DAS-BAMF...

Please don't call *228!!!

Well my area where I live, go to school, and work does not have 4G yet. So would flashing a new radio be beneficial?
