Flashing stock rom using odin

I have some questions about this. I have a Samsung Galaxy s7 on At&t. I want to flash to the latest firmware. If i use odin, do I have to incrementally install each update (there are 6 ahead of me that I don't have), or can i just jump to the most recent and flash that? Also i can't get a straight answer about this WILL IT FACTORY RESET??? I get so many mixed answers it would be nice if some who has done this could tell me. Also, i have looked into ADB side loading, but I can't find the march security patch file to sideload. It would be awesome if someone could show me where to get that and then I wouldn't have to use odin.
