Between shaking a phone for the flashlight and shaking it to turn on the camera, maybe this wasn't good technology to be putting into $900 phones. I'm sure all that shaking is not good for the internals. I bet there's been a lot of phones slipping out of people's hands pulling off this maneuver too.Do you have to run an app to get the flash light to work?
On my Droid Turbo you shake it hard a few times and the flash light goes on. Shake it again and the flash flight goes off. Very handy when working on things around the house.
