Floating Bar

I'm wondering if the floating bar is part of LG's UI or can it be used with a 3rd party launcher like Nova.

I'm not a big fan of the LG UI on my V20 and probably wouldn't use it on the V30 if I decide to go that way.

Marques Brownlee did a review & said it's not really worth using, he ended up disabling it. So you might not even end up wanting or using it. As for whether it works on Nova, etc, I don't think anybody's really got into that yet. I haven't seen anything

This is an interesting thread. I think I would use it. I love the second screen on my other V's. I hope to have my new V30 today..... I also use Nova on my phones so I'm interested.

I don't like the EDGE on Samsung's phones so I think I won't care for this either. I remember using the 2nd screen a lot on my V10 but by the V20, I was over it.

I use Nova too so if I had to guess I'd say the 2nd screen remains even while using Nova. I'm going to check it out too & give it a shot. I've never used a V series.

Another Yes it works with Nova Launcher....
Got mine this morning and spent the day setting it up. Installed Nova and the Floating Bar works. I use it for quick contacts.

Whether you have the Floating Bar enabled or disabled you will still get notifications at the top just like always. The Floating Bar is used for quick access to apps, the music player, contacts, and screen capture.

Anyone know how to get the stock floating bar back? I changed mine up and lost the things that came with it like the screen grab app.

Swipe from the top of the screen > settings > type floating bar in the search > tap floating bar.

How did you get it dude?

Go to your settings - General - Smart Functions. This is where you turn on and off the floating bar.

I use this all the time. Wouldn't know what I would do without it. (I use no shortcuts other than the Nova gestures and the floating bar)
