FM tuner app on Verizon

My daughter got her M9 from T-Mobile. Because I liked hers so much, I upgraded to my own M9 from Verizon. I over-all like it, but I have just realized that the FM tuner app is missing from mine. She has one and it works perfectly. That feature was one of the tiebreakers for me between several other models. I listen to radio a lot during the day, especially when I'm out walking. Am I right in thinking that this is a typical Verizon action ( and why am I not surprised). Are there any work-arounds for this?

Wouldn't surprise me if was something Verizon did. They disabled it in the M8.

I think this came up before in a post and if memory serves me correct the CDMA version has the hardware missing to receive FM radio signals.
I could be wrong but its been brought up before.

You might try next radio. I have not tried it but it's supposed to be an FM radio app. You can get it in the play store.

The Verizon M9 does not have it. Disappointing to say the least.
