Font size

I asked this question a few days ago I haven't received a response yet . I have the new Google messenger and I can't adjust the font. I also cannot adjust the font in memo. The volume key doesn't work. Please help.

Google Messenger? Do you mean Hangouts?

Go to Settings>Display>Font Size. Does that change the font size in Hangouts?

no its not hangouts. It's Google messenger, a new message app from Google. The volume key worked with the older version of Google messenger.

Ok, I gave it a try. Volume buttons don't do anything for font--you have to go to the Settings>Display>Font size menu to adjust the overall system font size.

I never used the older version, but it's a little surprising to me that you could use the volume buttons to adjust the font size. Is it possible you were using some other 3rd party app that allows you to reassign the volume buttons?

no. I was using the version that came with the samsung Galaxy S5. I updated because it was using Material Design. I really didn't want to change the fonts system wide. I know that if there was a way, you would know how. Thanks again.
