For the price, V20 is not worth it.

As others have stated: Why cap on a brand or model, when so many people seem to like it?
I don't go on other forums and say cr@# about that model. Why are some folks running down the V20 and LG? (Yes, they have a right to. But didn't people learn courtesy?)
I am VERY happy with my LG V20. Is it perfect, no but it meets my needs and wants at this time.
As for the price, it is my money that I work for, so the price is right.

Lateck,

Removable battery door

Doesn't burn in

Doesn't blow up

Wide angle shots and manual modes

SwiftKey

Why do people buy? It's the next closest option. High quality build. Excellent audio. IR blaster. Second screen. Nougat.

You should probably get an S8 or Pixel

Absolutely none of those things constitute a premium price though is what I'm trying to get at. Sure, they're nice to have, but we had them 3 years ago for way less.

LG have aways left me with a sour taste in mouth with every phone release after the G2.

It's always the same issue, laggy software, unusable keyboard terrible battery life and quite possibly the worst lit screen on the market.

The software does not lag, keyboard works fine, battery life is good and screen is excellent....next?

Lateck,

Exactly, don't like something don't buy it. What is worth it for someone may not be for someone else.

Former Note 7 user.

I just don't get it. $830 and it's not even water resistant. It's an LCD screen! The battery doesn't last as long as it IDEALLY should for a phablet. The camera is good, but not great. The keyboard is a nightmare to use.

I've owned Samsungs, HTC's, and nearly every brand in between. I bought this phone after reading and watching reviews, and I remained skeptical. I bought it because I thought it would be something that would grow on me. I went to the Note 7 forum and noticed a lot of former users jumped on the V20 wagon.

I don't get it. What is everyone seeing in this phone that I don't? If this thing were maybe in the $600's, I'd say that's a solid deal. But this thing is being marketed and sold as an $830 device, and it certainly doesn't feel like one to me.
Return it and voila, nothing to complain about.

Like the note 7 wasn't overpriced?
They all are. But for the crappy camera, I would have bought an axon 7
It is what it is
The free headphones also sweeten the deal

Return it and voila, nothing to complain about.

I know everyone has an opinion and are free to post wherever they choose, but for the most part I only comment in other phone threads while I am interested in the phone. I kind of stick to the phone I own otherwise.

For some reason , there are a lot of trolls in phone forums. Not saying the OP here is. But I don't know why people hate on others, or treat their brand like a sporting team. Too many people take brands way to personally as if they have a vested interest. Same way with car forums.
For me, the phones have to earn my business each and every model, or I switch. No blind loyalty from me.

For the price on most of these mainstream flagship phones are not worth it. I could build two PCs for the price of a Grenade 7.

On the whole $830....

Let's also keep in mind that we don't know how much the ESS Sabre 9218 chipset costs LG to implement. There's also the 3 high quality microphones. Who else is offering removable batteries? Just because Apple, and, therefore, Samsung don't have them (now) don't make that feature less important or attractive to me. See, Apple's phone's battery life is such that you don't really need to think of a removable battery. Samsung? I'm not really convinced, but their phones are pretty.

Further, Verizon’s version of the V20, as I understand it, is missing features that AT&T's version has, like the FM receiver I recently learned about and some themes or such, etc. There's a whole thread about it. Perhaps Verizon should call their implementation the V19.75
😛, but it may be part of why their version cost less, and don't forget they just charge more for their services so they're getting their coin outta their customers anyways.

Verizon V19.75

Okay, that is corny. ...but kinda funny too.

Bottom line: $830 is a lot for a phone, for a lot of people, including me, but you have to pay to play I guess.

Ive never had a problem with what i pay with verizon. Are they really that much more? I currently have 2 phone lines with 32gb data and unlimited everything else and i pau like 150 a month. Is that not comparable with other networks?

btw, love my v20. Miss my n7 though.

It doesn't cost any less to produce the Verizon model. The FM radio is there, just disabled through software. The same for the rest of the things they change. I have a feeling that Verizon cam afford to sell it for less.

I'd agree it's a bit overpriced via most carriers but, like many, I'll never pay the full price since I have it on Jump, making the point moot.

I am finding it fast, stable, and very usable. Screen is lovely - some of us dont like Samsung screens, especially since the curved edges are awful for some eyes (like mine. The edges create an optical illusion of floating text, and give me a blinding hesdache).

It has a better-than-most recorder, a good camera, and decent software (I still prefer hTC Sense, but I'm getting used to it).

Where's the beef?

I pay $120 a month for 3 lines unlimited with tmobile.
When I had Verizon a couple years ago I was saying like $169 for 2 lines. I was with Verizon for 8 years prior to moving to tmobile.

My monthly bill changed by a few dollars. I love JUMP. upgraded from the V10 to the v20 with only paying taxes.
