Force Market 2.2.7 update on SD card

We have 2 of the phones, 1 updated days ago but the other hasn't yet. I like the look and it would be easier for the wife I think, what is the best way to install it or force it? The phone has a 16 GB SD card and I'd like to run it from there if possible. Any ideas?

I actually hate the new version, its large and blocks allot of content with graphics, mine also auto updated, I have been looking for a way to revert back but I'm not sure its possible, havent seen anything on moving it to sd card though.

lets try the easy way first , goto settings>applications>manage application> find the market application, select it, clear data and cache... then try to open up the market again.. if that doesnt work we can move on to manual update

I did the clear things 3 days ago, nothing so far so I guess we go manual.

So the manual update process is what then? I'm in the same boat. Fun fun!
