Ford Sync no longer streams my bluetooth audio.

I had this same issue in my 2013 ford focus, which randomly stopped playing music. I knew it wasn't an issue with the Bluetooth connectivity as I could still speak over the phone through my car.

I fixed this issue by disconnecting from the Bluetooth, unplugging the battery, waiting 15 seconds or so, reconnecting the battery, then connecting back into the Bluetooth. After this it worked

People have said to disconnect specifically the negative terminal. I disconnected the positive terminal and it still worked.

The only thing I can think of that may have caused this is I pressed the autostart button that toggles the autostart on and off. Perhaps this caused some kind of malfunction? Who knows
Welcome to AC!
Ford sync system has always been a issue and lot of times disconnect the battery negative fixes them .
And for which cable to disconnect the ground is safer practice and less chance of you shorting out something or cause battery to explode with acid inside.

You don't have to take out a fuse or unpair or anything that requires removing your device. Just press the "voice" button, wait, and say "Bluetooth audio". Now your phone is ready to play music through your car.
Registered to say "Thank You!!!!!!" for this solution. Reading all of these extreme suggestions like full Sync reset, pulling fuses and battery cables had me concerned. Your solution of using the Audio button worked. I've owned this Expedition for 10 years and didn't learn until after I bought it that it had the crappiest version of Sync and Nav ever used by Ford. I've only managed to get bluetooth audio to work a handful of times in 10 years! Your solution worked straight out of the box! I am forever grateful.

Help!!! Ok, I am going nuts with my Ford Escape 2011 because I already read and tried everything from this forum but nothing has worked so far, here is my situation:

-I have a Ford Escape 2011 Limited since a fear years and the bluetooth and media work perfectly, never had any issue at all, I use my Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra with this car and stream music and receive calls with no issue.
-Last week, I bough an additional Ford Escape 2011 (yes, I like the car a lot, haha) equiped with Sync as well, but for some reason, I can't find a way to stream music with the same phone, but I can definitelly receive and make call and my phone does connect to the car. I have tried:
1. disconnecting batery
2. removeing fuse
3. paired and unpared several times my phone to the car and removed devices
4. done master reset several times to SYNC and bluetooth and made sure bluetooth is on

nothing has worked so far and I am going nuts, the problem seems to be very specific:
-my phone is able to pair every time and make calls, but on the SYNC menu, the option to change the audio source (to bluetooth, USB, etc) is just not there! it is also random when I can select the SYNC menu pressing the Aux button, it only works when it wants too, same with the voice commands and the buttons on the steering wheel for voice and phone. I have tried with the voice commands as well telling it 'bluetooth audio', but it doesn't do anything, it only returns to the radio, and the car is telling me the option to say it. I also tried with an USB with mucis and connecting through Aux, but nothing seems to work, the menu just won't let me change the source, the options are not even there!!! worst part is that I had the sirius radio when bough the car and now it disappeared too :( (probably after the hard reset).
Everytime to I try something again, like disconecting the battery, doing the master reset or removing the fuse, same issue: it takes a few minutes for the SYNC to come back to life, it let me connect my phone but no audio source to select on the menu, the only option available is 'system settings'...

Anyone that can help me?? I really don't know what else to do after trying those other 4 things several times in different days.

I am adding a video here to show the issue (notice the screen on the car is not actually blinking, that is because of my phone camera frame rate).
