Forgot hide app password

[AC Question]

I have coolpad note 3 lite and it has an inbuilt feature for hiding the apps.I have set a pattern for it but now I have forgotten the pattern. There is no option to reset it. Can anyone tell me how to open it?

Go to settings app and app option and force to stop launcher app and clear data and cache for launcher app and reboot your phone and then check again

A solution has been offered and it looks like the right one so I’ll close the thread. If it doesn’t work then I imagine factory resetting would be the only answer.
