Android Central Question

Hello everybody, I own a ZTE Blade Zmax 7.1.1 and I'm having problems. Few days ago I decided to format my SD card so I was able to move my music and apps over to it like I've done before on another Android phone. Well, once I did the format, a suggestion came up about automatically moving my data, photos, files, etc all to the SD card, said it would take 17 minutes. So I did the automatic move and let it do it's thing. Towards the end I didn't watch the phone and it finished. I assumed it restarted itself and after that, my SD card disappeared from ES File Explorer I downloaded. If I go into storage in settings, it shows the SD card is full of the data it moved approximately 15 gigs which sounds right. I've tried looking for a solution online, but nobody explains nothing about what I want to do. I would either like to return all the data, files, etc back to the phone, or somehow be able to access the SD card like I've been able to do before the format. I don't have a computer, I'd figure this could all be done on the phone since I did this on the phone. But I'm no expert, that's why I'm here. Thank you for reading and I hope somebody here can help me out.

Store files on SD cards (backed up, of course). Format SD cards as portable storage. Make believe that adoptable storage had never been invented.

You can't have ideas on how to make a bad concept good. Also, check every card as soon as you get it with SD Insight. (If the date is January 1, 1970, it's a counterfeit card - you don't have to look any further.)

Hmm, it's tough to say what really happened. Adoptable Storage can be a bit of a crapshoot, since some manufacturers implement it worse than others, which could lead to data loss. Another possibility is a corrupt or counterfeit card -- counterfeit cards are typically programmed to report more storage than they actually have, and if the user tries to store more data on the card than it can handle, that can cause various kinds of corruption or data loss.
@Rukbat, you have any more ideas on this?

Okay I did purchse the Transcend SD card on Amazon so it could be possible I bought a faulty card. I am gonna just gonna assume I accidentally deleted all my data from the card because the remaining 3 gigs are only thumbnail data, so I'm just gonna go ahead and unformat it back to portable and try to forget about what ive done.
Definitely can't get those meaningful pictures back but at least the music can be downloaded again. I really appreciate you all trying to help, it really sucks ZTE couldn't design the hardware better to work better like Samsung did when it comes to SD cards. I may consider investing in a decent Samsung for my next phone when the time comes. If I run into any more problems, I'll come back. I'll be sure to never to do this again on a limited, unrooted device.

I checked out that app, sadly it isn't compatible with my ZTE. But I'll definitely save it for another device. I'm gonna just wipe the card clean and start all over. I really do appreciate you both helping me out, it really sucks but I will manage. I hope you both have a great night/day.
