Former BB Users...How has your Keyboard Experience been so far after switching?

So far this has been one of the best Screen Typing experiences....(Storm 2 could had won, but the Auto Correct Sucked)

The only pain I have had is the space bar. I type the letter B accidentally instead of the spacebar, so sometimes it will look like this:

"howbare youbtoday?" instead of "how are you today?" Definitely a growing pain from the hard keyboard to the onscreen....but I will get used to it.

I downloaded Swype which is a great experience, but that has a lousy landscape keyboard, and I LOVE the microphone to text, comes in VERY handy for simple text messaging.

So how are other Blackberry users making out?

i'm in the same boat as you, except i had a BB Tour.
I do make the same mistake as you, i wish the keyboard was a bit bigger/taller.
And i wish the keyboard supported multitouch like the iphone. Often times i am typing too fast and if i hit the next letter before letting go of the previous finger, i mess up the word i was trying to type. supposedly droid x has multitouch a keyboard.

Definitely was an adjustment, and i still think i can type faster/more accurately on a physical keyboard, but just a bit more. i'm happy with touchscreen and i think technology has come far enough where all phones could possibly lose a physical keyboard.

I love the keyboard. I came from the storm 1 and i loved that, i just wished the i had smaller thumbs so the vertical full keyboard worked a little better.

I had the Tour after the Storm 2 I got to see both sides of the Blackberry Keyboard world. I have a HUGE appreciation for the Auto Correct. It's been excellent feature as it does learn your spelling, and it has very impressive accuracy the way I type.....EXCEPT of course that damn spacebar/B I mentioned.

As said in all the other keyboard threads, took me a bit to get used to not pushing the screen in and all was fine with XT9 mode on the HTC keyboard. After Swype forget about it, I'll never look at BB again.

I have had both a tour and both storms. I use swype and it is fantastic. As for the original keyboard I had no problems with that either. Typing on this phone is easier any of my blackberries

Came from the BB Tour about a month ago. Very frustrating for the first few weeks, constantly making mistakes. Last week, I switched to swype and I am much much happier. Swype is awesome and highly recommend it.

If you go to their beta site, there are several youtube video's to help you get started.

I also came from a BB tour just recently, while the onboard factory keyboard was ok. Swype has been very handy. I signed up for the beta test and the next day, I received an email to invite me.

yeah I love this phone. I had a BB storm 1 this phone is way better, it seems like BB is so out dated. I also have problems with the b and the . but ill give that anyday for this phone.

Coming from a Storm 1 I have to say I love the DInc keyboard much much better. At the time I liked the Storms keyboard, but I had to hit at exactly the right spot for it to register the correct letter, but with the Inc keyboard I have had no issues with mistaken typing.
