[Forum Game] The Everlasting Story

A black van comes from the opposite end of the street. The assailants haven't noticed. This is the backup I've been waiting on. The sliding door opens, a man rolls out to the side of the road and straightens up with an RPG. He fires. The rightmost car explodes in a tremendous fireball. The remnants of the mobs interception squad turn and fire on the van. Three shots and they fall. That was too close.

I told O'Donnel everything. "Well done kiddo, you took out the lot of them,not many would survive that." He proudly stated to me. "Check the bodies for phones, notes, letters, anything that can be used as evidence and anything that can get this professional onto his next mission" he said to his men as he winked at me.

I figured that I should help search the bodies. I walk up to a cold, non breathing corpse. Hair a dirty blonde color, blue eyes, average size. I lean down and start feeling around his jacket. While searching, I see two holes where bullets hit him. One in the head and one in the chest. I pull out a brown leather wallet. I look in and see an ID. "Mark Shuffler" I read. Guy was only 23 years old. I don't find anything so I move on to the next lifeless body.. That I shot.

More blood on my hands. It's not so bothersome anymore. I'm not quite sure what to make of that. We found only one clue on the seven bodies. Establishing a pattern was difficult until Jackson noted this obscure similarity. Each of the men had a small tattoo of a pentagram under their left ear lobe in black ink. No one knew what to make of it so each marking was photographed for later analysis.

Obviously it was a gang, but I wondered how many of them were forced to be in that gang, and on what threats they were forced to work. Hell we didn't even know if these people were just decoys to throw us off.

Back at the lab, they scanned finger prints, blood samples, hair follicles. The whole 9 yards.
O'Donnell introduced me to a young lady.

"This is Sarah,"

I start, "Hey there, my name is.." Cutting me off, "I already know your name. O has told me a lot about you."

I smile, "Well okay then."

"Sarah is gonna be your partner in this next mission. Here is your briefing."

Sarah and I open it up and look at document. They have all been in the same manilla envelope. We sit down and discuss the briefing..

The details were horrific. We were assigned to assassinate some hotshot in the underworld. If this was a way for them to test us...no, no human could possibly be that twisted. "Lord have mercy on my soul"
