FORUM GAME: Zombie Apocalypse - What do you do next?

I am starting a new forum game along the lines of a Zombie Apocalypse. We will progress through a storyline and be faced with some tough decisions. There are two rules:

-Keep it in the realm of a Zombie Apocalypse
-You must end each new reply posing a question as to what happens next.

You wake up to the sound of faint screams outside you small apartment in Philadelphia. You exit your bedroom to see the window in the living room has been smashed open and fresh blood smears on the windowsill. What do you do next?


Do you return to your bedroom and barricade yourself in? Or search the house for the intruder?

You search the house for the intruder. While looking, you hear something that sounds like moaning from the kitchen. You could go in, but you know the door is quite squeeky. What do you do?

Do you go in anyways, or get the heck out of there?

Being a little groggy and disoriented you decide to carelessly open the door. You are presented by some sort of rabid human feeding on the neck of your fianc? in the kitchen. You see a butchers knife within arms reach on the counter. Do you?

-Grab the knife and engage the rabid human.
-Leave shut the door and retreat.

Angry, and extremely confused, you grab the knife and the stab the rabid human several times in the chest. It doesn't seem to have done much, and the decaying man turns around to face you. What do you do?
Do you:
-Stab again
-Turn around and run for your life

Realizing that your future wife is a goner and the stabbing in the chest seems to be doing nothing to slow the rabid human. You decide to run. You slam the kitchen door behind you and are presented with a choice:
-Go into the bathroom
-Go into the basement

You run to the basement. You stumbled on the stairs and tumble down to the concrete floor. You quickly check yourself and find that other than a few cuts and bruises, you are mostly uninjured. You stagger to your feet.

You consider running to the top of the stairs and slamming the door shut, or hiding in a dark corner of the basement.

-Run to the top of the slam the basement door shut and barricade it

-Find a dark corner of the basement to hide

You decide to barricade the door for the time being. You pull the string on the single light bulb in the basement and a dim light that partially brightens you dreary unfinished basement flicks on. You go to your work bench where you have a hammer, nails, and a few scrap 2x4's laying. You gather the supplies and head back up to the door. You notice it did not fully close and upon approaching it the rabid human swings the door open.
Do you:

-Swing the hammer crushing the rabid humans skull... repeatedly
-Push the rabid human back, lock the door, and begin barricading it

You smash its skull to smithereens, and hit it two more times just to be sure. When you push the body away, your fiancee stands there, growling and moaning. Slowly she moves towards you. Do you:
-Push her away and run
Or
-Bash her skull in, too?

You push her away and run retreating into the basement. Making sure the door closes and locks behind you.

Do you:
-Retrieve your supplies and finish barricading the door
-Instantly begin looking around for alternatives means of escape

You finish barricading the door shut. You hammer the door shut and the scramble down the steps. You continue to hear your fiancee growling and clawing at the door. The sounds are driving you crazy.

Do you...

-Desperately look for an alternate escape from the basement?

or

-Find a corner as far away from the door, and cover your ears?

You find a dark corner, cover your ears, and begin to collect your thoughts. What is going on? Are you dreaming? What has your fiancee become? Is this isolated to Philly? You have noticed the scratching at the door has stopped.
What do you do next:

-Continue cowering
-Gather anything that could be a weapon

You look around the room. Gather your hammer, nails, and a spare 2x4. You hammer a few nails through the 2x4 making it into mean looking club. Having barricaded yourself in the basement (hopefully trapping your fiancee in the upstairs) you contemplate you escape from the house. You see one small window in your basement you think you could squeeze through. Do you:

-Break the glass with the hammer and climb out
-Wait it out in your barricaded basement longer

You move to the window and look out. Unfortunately a zombie is right outside. The scope of the window is rather small restricting your field of view. You decide to wait.

Do you wait until...
A) you can't see any zombies outside?
OR
B) you don't hear any noise from outside?

There is still a lot of commotion in the streets. What you assume is more zombies but you can't be sure. You decide not to push your luck and you leave the zombie be for now (luckily it has not seen you yet). Knowing you fiancee could still be lurking upstairs you have no option but to wait it out in the basement. With the reality of the situation beginning to weigh on you, you realize you will need to be prepared if you are going to survive. What is most important to you in your future travels.

-Water
-improving your nailed 2x4 weapon

You decide water is most important as of now you have no knowledge of the outbreak. You wait it out. The noise outside dies off minutes later the door starts to bear the pressure of what you can only assume to be your fiancee.
Do you...
A) chance the outside?
OR
B) engage the threat in an attempt to restore safety to your house?

Your mind tells you to protect your house, but your heart doesn't want you to further injure your fiancee. But since your best bet to get water and supplies are upstairs your survival instincts take over and you decide to venture back upstairs. You as quietly as possible use the reverse of the hammer to remove the 2x4's and nails from the doorframe. You peer out the door and don't see any movement. You make your way to the kitchen for supplies. You frantically grab bottles and begin filling them with water from the tap. When you start to smell the faint smell of smoke. You turn around and see your fiancee covered in blood, head tilted, and death in her eyes. She charges at you.
Do you:

-Use your club to bludgeon her repeatedly until she stops moving
-Attempt escape leaving everything behind

You decide to take your chances and go outside. With your club and water supply, you leap out the window. Two zombies approach you.

Do you make for it or fight them?

Realizing a fight between two zombies and having your fiancee zombie potentially on your heels you decide to book it out of there. You begin running as fast as you can.
Do you:

-Find a house, take a chance there are no zombies inside, and lock yourself in
-Keep running and take your chances in the woods with only your limited water supply and club

You keep running until you are in the forest. You see tracks of some sort, along with some wild strawberries.

Do you pick the strawberries or follow the tracks?

You pick as many strawberries as you can filling your pockets. You turn back realizing one of the zombies has spotted you and is beginning to chase you. You ignore the tracks a head to the neighborhood one street over. Do you:

-Confront the zombie and attempt to kill it
-Keep running and see what you options are in the new neighborhood
