Forwarding Exchange to Gmail

I have a college email that I want on my GNex but it forces me to set a password which I don't want. I now have it forwarding mail to my gmail but is there a way to decrease the interval between each time it checks for mail on my college email? I don't see any setting for this. If I can't, is there a way to have my college email on my GNex without having a password. On my iPhone there was a jailbreak tweak (called Exchange Unlock) that made it so I only had to put my password when I restarted the phone which was great. Anything similar on Android? Any help would be appreciated since I only just my GNex (is that what people call it? or would I come across as a douchebag calling it that?) a couple days ago.

Not really the answer you are looking for, but I know of two options. First, purchase an app like TouchDown or Moxier Mail. They both enable the password, but only when they have been launched. Both have free trials so you can see if it works to your liking before buying.

I believe there are ways to configure a rooted phone to bypass the Exchange requirements. I remember seeing then a couple years back when I bought my DInc, but haven't looked into it since because I use TouchDown.

Thanks for the suggestions! I would have preferred a way that involves using the stock email app but this will do. I appreciate the help! Testing touchdown now and seems to work ok but I'm not loving the UI.

Edit: I'm using Moxier now and I think I like it better. Really, thank you for these apps!
