my gps is busted, not even seeing a single sattelite but i don't want to do method #4 because i have a little bit over 100 apps and don't want to install all those apps as i'm guessing it will take a long time. Please if you can, tell me how long it took you to download all your apps back and to have the gps fixed. thanks

Note: also give me the number of apps you had in the first place to allow me to multiply however many apps you had and compare it to mine

Have you tried #3?

If that doesn't work, you could always root and then backup all your apps.

Rough estimate, I usually have about 30 apps. It takes me about 10 minutes on WiFi linked to my wireless router to download my apps. Today I reflashed my ROM and did it while mobile, and using 3g/4g (whenever 4g was active) it took about 20 minutes to do the same 30 apps...

Procedure #4 has worked for many visitors... That might be the solution for your problem.
