Foxfi with nexus 7

I'm on Sprint using the EVO 4G LTE and I can connect my Nexus 7 with no problem and don't have PDA Net on my Nexus 7.

What are you using to tether your phone to your N7? I thought HTC has locks in place that prevent their phones from being used as hotspots?

I also have Sprint but I have the Samsung galaxy S3 and foxfi don't work on this phone yet so it does not connect to my nexus 7 tablet.

I have Verizon G3 and works fine. To work though, wifi must be active on the G3 along with 4g.

Alright so when you are away from Wi-Fi how does it work on other device?

Foxfi uses the 3g/4g radio of the phone for the data connection to your carrier AND the Wi-Fi radio for connection between the phone and the nexus. Make sure you have both enabled or it won't work. I found that out the hard way. I'm using Sprint and a Samsung epic 4g.

Thank you for that information, I tried that and still don't work on my Samsung galaxy S3 phone and nexus 7 tablet. It won't connect through wifi.

I use foxifi and my RAZR maxx frequently however, not through Bluetooth. Is there a benefit from connecting with Bluetooth over normal WiFi? Less power drain or something?

I have a different question (and forgive me if this is a totally noob question), if I use foxfi on my phone to connect my N7, since my phone is now a hotspot, can other people connect their devices on my phone?

I have an EVO LTE and Nexus 7. Im trying to use FoxFi but the two wont connect. On my Nexus in the wifi menu it says "connecting" to foxfi and then it says "saved" It wont actually connect. Any ideas why?

Edit: Ok it looks like I had to download the foxfi add on from the market and select "use proxy" from the menu. It is now working fine.

What about an iPhone? Could I put foxfi on my N7 and have it as my hotspot for my phone? Or should I just be blasted for even asking that?
