While using Foxfi do you have to disable the 3g/4g connection? I have it on but not sure if I need to disable anything.

Ha, I'm such an Android virgin! :o. One more question..... does it use less battery or should you only use if you want to connect another device?

Why would you run it if you aren't connecting?

Yes, it definitely wears down the battery.
 
Foxfi uses your 4G connection to broadcast a wifi signal to other devices ;-)

FoxFi is a great app the only downside is it drains your battery quick.

Only use it if you actually are connecting another device. It is going to drain your battery quickly. But I always connect mine to a charger if i can when tethering
