@dmmarck, if i buy Franco's app will it give me the option which kernel i want to flash or will it automatically flash his most recent kernal. i am new to flashing kernels so i want to make sure i dont screw up anything

It will always give you the option to download before you do. I posted a picture of the GPU MHz screen in the AOKP thread about a half an hour ago.

You download the app, and you have the option to auto-flash or download the kernel's .zip. If you choose the latter, you can simply reboot into recovery and flash it like you would anything else.

I'd start with his latest milestone/stable--Milestone 4, 384 MHz GPU. Use the default settings for a day then play around with different governors to see if it's better/worse than that testing day.

I bought it today, you have the option with 2 selections, download the stable version (m4) or his nightly r180 and can choose what CPU speed you want.

you can either download or have it flash for you.

I started with m4 and than went to the 180 @ 512 with going back and forth with dmmarck.

No problem. It's a bit cliche, but Android = community. When that goes to hell then we're nothing but a bunch of geeks with a touchscreen mobile device .

i bought the app and flashed M4, i will give a day or two to see how it does and then may move onto the nightly, thanks again guys for all the great info

I bought the app and it seems to be working well with Liquid1.4. I might try AOKP out soon, but I heard that Liquid was pretty stable - so far so good, save for a few things here and there with customization options.

As for the Franco app, it is awesome. I love the color options: NO MORE GRADIENT LINES. I also set the gamma to 1.2 and I like it a lot - colors a bit punchier, albeit darker.

I was on 180 for half the day, but mabye because I was on it a lot, the battery life was considerably worse than when I was stock. I switched over to the Milestone 4, lowered my screen brightness, and changed the governor to conservative. The phone was flying on 180 lol.
