Franco's Kernel

[VAVA Mk2]

I am currently running Codename Android 1.5.5 and last night decided to flash Franco's Kernel. I was excited as I got several Quadrant scores with it of about 3200. This morning when I ran it, though, I only got around 2200. Is this normal? Is there a reason the score dropped between last night and today? Also while on topic, I am happy with CNA but everyone seems to love AOKP. How do these ROMs compare performance and feature wise? Any suggestions?

Anyone know where I can get r166 but with 384 gpu?
I am on the latest nightly and I am having some issues. The nightly download section Index of /franciscofranco/Galaxy Nexus/nightlies
doesnt have the r166 384gpu version.

anyone know where I can find it?

the problem is color multipliers arent sticking on reboot on 173. I am on aokp M5 ( I have the app but it doesnt allow you to go back .:-\)

Well at this point i am on 166 512gpu and it still doesnt stick. So I pretty much ruled out that the problem is the kernel version. because when I was on 166 before, it always stuck.
Oh well.
anyone else on aokp M5 with the most recent franco app having this problem?

Yep I got it definitely 384 and it is perfect. But color multipliers are still not sticking . I even unrooted and flashed stock,rerooted and did a clean install of M5. I have to believe its the app.

I will look in the other forum to see if anyone has the same problem.

Codename hasn't been updated in several months which is eons in rom time.
Aokp is probably the top rom, currently, although liquid, eclipse amd several others are good choices.

He mentioned in his XDA thread that the tweaks he was doing to the wifi voltage seemed to have an unexpected side effect of causing data drops on the radio. He summarized, and I presume the actual discussion was much more technical, but one of his users figured it out, so he backed out the power amp he had been slowly increasing on the wifi.
