Freaked-out phone, blame AT&T?

Yesterday my Captivate, Cyanogen 7, nightly 103, started freaking out on me. Everything was crashing, SMS, Titanium, just about all apps. I managed to uninstall the last two apps I had added, DAR Car & Photoshop, but no fixes.

I did notice both signal strength indicators, wifi & phone, were always white, whereas they are usually Android green when getting a signal. I had resolved to go back stock when I got home from work.

Well, when I got home, everything started working fine! No more force close requests, all hunky-dory! Then I noticed my signal indicators were green again!

Could AT&TS signal issues have dorked-up my phone?

TIA!

Bill

The signal indicators turn green when you're connected to Google's servers. As much as you want to blame AT&T (don't we all), there's almost no way a loss of signal could affect the stability of a phone.

Ok, this has recurred many times, usually after installing a new app. Was thinking I had bad hardware, when, on a whim, I booted into recovery and did "Wipe Dalvik cache." Seemed to clear it without a full wipe and restore.

We'll see...
