FREE 4g HOTSPOT???

nothing is free, they will prob charge ...

So i think they will include the wifi hot spot for free, but they will charge us prob 30 bucks extra a month for the 4g, they will say free wifi hot spot..

I can pretty much 100% confirm there won't be an extra LTE charge for a while. THe VZ rep told BB Mobile that they aren't going to charge for 4G until most likely next year when it's widely available. They want to bring Sprints customers over here. VZ is really trying to hit it home this year. VZ iphone to steat at&t customers and 4g at no extra cost to steal sprint customers. Then when everyone is nice and happy...BOOM!!! $10 extra charge lol

I've tried it but it it stopped working after one of the updates. I wound up just rooting my phone and installing the wireless tether app and it works like a charm.

I wonder if it will work for the TB. That would be huge. FREE 4G HOTSPOT! lol even if VZ offers it free for a few months. We'd have unlimited. We need to keep this in mind.

Oh yea...once someone figures out how to root the TB(which shouldn't take long since its HTC) you can add the wireless tether app and have all the free 4g data you want. I'm all for free hotspot from VZW, but I don't think it's going to be long-term.

Im not a fan of rooting because i prefer to get ota updates. I don't want to have to load leaks or load officials. Im one of those users who like when my phone looks stock which is why i don't use launcher pro.

Really? I hvae been using the fix since it came out. Just used it yesterday to get on my iPad. Love my Dinc for that.

OTA updates will still happen, you'll just have to manually do it when they come through. It will break root, but again I'd bet they will have that fixed quickly.

As much as I would love to root the Thunderbolt, I use Good for work email and it checks for root and boots me right off the server until I'm no longer rooted. It sucks!!! Especially since there are just a few things that I would like to do that requires rooting (underclocking would be nice if battery turns out to be an issue, but SetCPU needs SU access...and wireless tether although there is a way to push an updated file to a non rooted Samsung to activate it and there is a similar non-rooted workaround for the Incredible). By the way, the latest version of Fascinate Froyo (leaked) is said to have a "sniffer" for people that are bypassing the paid wireless tether. Not sure how true that is but it's being reported on XDA.
