Free Google Play Music for Droid Maxx

I called Verizon and told them I saw a YouTube video from Verizon saying that I would get 6 months free of Google Play All Access. I told them I am already a current subscriber for this service, so how does that affect me? They ended up crediting me on my account for the six months of Google Play Music. Since I'm already a subscriber of google play music. If you are in this situation too, I would give them in a call that way they can credit your account too. Apparently I was the first one to call about this lol

It was really quick though. I mean really I just wanted to know if I just got screwed out of a free 6 months or if I would get a credit. Either way I was fine but I just wanted to know you know. Its only good business practice to keep your customers happy LOL.

Got this text today. Link took me to All Access Music App on Google Play Store. It showed I already subscribe to the service and no way to redeem a credit or coupon. I called Vz and they were not really aware of it. After I explained it she said that it is an ongoing promotion and I should "opt-in" through the link. I told her no "opt-in" option, but I opened it from the link. Nothing really changed on my end, but she said that by doing that it should enroll me in the promotion and I shouldn't be billed for the next six months. We'll see, my bill date is the 27th. I told her if I got billed, I'll call her back. She said she would note the account. We'll see.

I'm already paying for Spotify. Which seems to have more music than Google Music. So I'm thinking the free 50GB of Google Drive storage might be more useful for me.

I did do the free trail though. It was cool. I noticed a few of the musicians pictures were wrong. But the music was there. I'm just used to Spotify I guess.

I just completed a chat with a Verizon rep online minutes ago about this very thing. She looked into at for me and came back with:

"I found the disclaimer here. It says that Existing Google Play All Music Access customers are not eligible for this promotion."

I mentioned to her that that was not obvious anywhere. May call Verizon to see what they say.

Earlier in August purchased a bluetooth speaker "knowing" that I would be getting 6 moths of Google Play All Music Access. When my speaker came, I wanted to make certain that the skip track worked in Google Play so I made the mistake of registering under the one month free trial. Of course, now I have a trial account so the six-month promo doesn't come up on my new Maxx. I called Verizon Customer Service, and Verizon punted over to Google Play. For me, I was sent a link to https://www.google.com/support/androidmarket/bin/request.py?contact_type=contact_policy from which I got a number to call. The issues has been passed up to a specialist. Who knows, hopefully I'll get the promo.

Thanks for the heads up - I was curious how this would work.

Unsurprisingly, calling in to customer service did not help me at all as the rep I spoke with had no idea what the Google Play Music All Access service was in the first place and I had to tell her to go to the Verizon site to review the promotion. I was simply asked to contact Google to see how it would work.

She told me to cancel my subscription for six months and then re-subscribe, but I'm on the $7.99 offer and would think that cancelling my service would remove promotional pricing in the future.

I'll probably try calling in again about it... I would prefer getting 6 months of credit on my Verizon bill, but don't know exactly how to go about "suggesting" that to the rep aside from blatantly asking for it.

I don't see anything wrong with blatantly asking for it. You could make a lot of calls before somebody decides to offer it to you.

For the Moto X. That's the promo they're doing. And if I get a 16 GB X then I'll need tons of storage.
