Free HD TV with G4 purchase at Best Buy

I just picked up a G4 from BB yesterday evening. Did this promo run out on Saturday? The BB employee didn't mention anything about it (no surprise there.)

Any info would be great. ...(except info where people childishly complain about free TVs.)

Honestly, this much unhappiness about a bonus free product? Wow.

As my dad would say "They'd complain if they were hung with a new rope."

Seriously, these are not something that is going to lure people into the store to choose a G4 over some other phone, but once there it may sway your decision if one phone comes with a TV and the other doesn't.

Me? I was already picking up two new shiny G4s, so this will be awfully good incentive for the kids to keep their rooms clean (they only need to pay for the Chromecast).

If it's an upgrade then for sure go for it, but my point was more toward how it's mostly not an upgrade to most people since 720p and 1080p been out for years. So people tend to float towards the upgrades, course you have those people who don't care to upgrade. But where technology is, it's quite out dated was my other point.

I was going to use it as a new monitor but it wouldn't work with my 1080p resolution well, since it is only 720p.

They were not giving away monitors they were giving away TVs. I have done plenty of research on TVs and monitors. I have built plenty of PCs over the last 25+ years. I would never us a TV for a monitor.

While I don't have any need for a 24" TV, if I did want one 720P would be fine for TV usage.
