I was getting that exact same crap from Windows Central for quite awhile.... I use a dedicated browser just for forums, just for that reason, so it was easy to delete all the browsing data and get rid of the pop-ups. I just avoided Windows Central for a few months and the problem has now gone away

Well I've added that as a blocked site on my Sky Broadband Shield. I have a small collection of similar ones there. Once blocked, they give no further trouble.
I shall also be reporting it to Google, since their page style has been fraudulently imitated.
