Free Moto Skip?

What's the story on the free Skip? Is it for Moto Maker orders only? If so, that hardly seems right, considering the prices for the in stock black and white is the same as the custom colors. Plus Moto / AT&T save money on shipping if you get the in stock colors.

Anyway, I bought a black X on Tueday. I asked the salesman about the skip, he had no idea. So he called Motorola for me. After 15 min, the Moto rep agreed to send me a free skip. I should have it in a few days.

Curious, what's everyone else's experience?

I don't have the X yet, but I'm hoping all the people on Verizon get a free Skip too!!

From what I have read everywhere, the skip was only thrown in for free with the motomaker orders. I can confirm that when I ordered my phone through motomaker, they did automatically throw in the skip. That's cool the rep agreed to send that to you for free when you bought in-store. I don't think many are going to be as lucky. Niiiiice!

Send them to me, I could use a couple extra. They are only for the MotoMaker orders. It does seem a bit of an odd strategy as opposed to just making them free for everyone for the first week or something along those lines.

Trust me, I don't either.

ALTHOOOUUUGH, I have bought programmable NFC tags. When I get them in I will have one set inside my front door to tap against that will turn my wifi on, and bluetooth off, then I can tap it again when I'm leaving to do the opposite when getting in my car. My buddies works great with his HTC one. He also has it setup for when friends come over they can tap their phone to the tag, connecting to his wifi, no pass required. I will be doing this too. Cool stuff!
