That's the promotion I received I got the LG V 495 8 inch tablet for $0.99 but I have to pay $10 a month to AT&T so essentially I am paying $240 plus tax for it. It seems ok but the wondering if I'm better off returning it and just buying a tablet that doesn't have LTE for something close to the $240. This one has a slow processor and only 16 gigabytes of storage & 1GB of memory but it does have an SD card slot. I think I would have much rather had 128 gigabyte SD card and the free battery and charger. I think I bought my v10 without any LG promo. I bought it on the 22nd of December and have 14 days to return it, so if something pops up before that 14 days ago maybe I'll be able to take advantage of that by returning and buying back so I get their current receipt.
Then the other option was interesting, I could have gotten another LG v10 for 699 less 625 or $74. But then I have to pay AT&T $15 a month but I could get rid of the $6.99 per month insurance. The only thing is that $15 per month lasts for 30 months, so there's another $90 plus tax there. However, I have an extra phone and another line which might come in handy actually. For all I know that option may still be available even with the tablet but that really doesn't make sense because then I'm paying, $15 times 30 or $450 to save $6.99 times 30 ($210)plus any money to asurion for a deductible ($200). So it all works out really unless you don't lose the phone or it doesn't break. A little fun with numbers.
Meanwhile I really like the LG V 10 and I think that they're going to be selling like hotcakes as Samsung users find out about their new phones. I haven't used a charger on a phone in at least two years and I'm not running to buy extra batteries and $50 a pop so I'm curious to see if leaving one battery in and not having interchangeable batteries is enough. As my phone got older, the batteries got older and on days when I used the phone a lot, I could go through a few batteries in a day.
