Freezing at night on charger! Help!

So I am reaching the end of my 2 weeks trial with the RAZR M and generally have loved it, especially the battery life. One big issue though is twice now it has frozen while on the charger at night and I have missed my alarms in the morning. I have used a phone for years as an alarm so the answer of "set a standard alarm clock" doesn;t work. Has anyone else experienced this. Could this be caused by a different brands charger?

I have owned a RAZR M for about 3 weeks now and also use it for a daily alarm. I have had no problems with the alarm on or off charge. Maybe there is another app causing the problem? I am using the stock alarm.

Yeah stock alarm here. I wish there was a way to run tests on installed apps to find out if they are the issue
