freezing up and stalling

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I've had my galaxy note 3 for about 6 months now and it's freezing up on screens. It slows down during text messaging. Sometimes I have to restart in order for it to work. Any suggestions? I have a virus clean up app that I use often and it always tells me everything is clean

Welcome to Android Central! That usually isn't due to viruses. Try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition, which doesn't erase any personal data: Reset: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 | T-Mobile Support
