Fring has kicked the bucket

To be honest, I loved Fring, but it now seems that it has gone down. Some people can't log in and now it can connect to its servers.. I wonder if any service is going to be able to handle the load of this video chat.

Im still trying to figure out how in the world you even video chat between evos. I signed up my wife and my phones and when I find the other in the contacts on the app, the option to video call isn't even available. Am I doing something wrong?

You have to make sure you add each other as friends by adding each other's Fring usernames. After that, it will sync with the phone and you will have your wife on the call list. Tap on her name, and you will see the choice to call, text or video call. Hope it helps!

After u get fring make sure u have a skype account also n make sure u have added eachother as friends in skype n it will work

Fring doesn't seem to use much battery in the background for me. Ive left it running all night with very minimal battery drain. Same thing with gps, btw.

On Fring, I couldn't see my dad's skype account...

It would randomly show up after like 10 minutes.
