Sarky, Thanks for the info. I hope that my local AT&T is equally helpful. Normally I look for the best cost, but in this case, yes, I would pay extra to have the screen protector put on for me. In this case, it would be worth the extra cost. And if I really messed it up, I'd end up buying 2 (or potentially more, I guess) screen protectors, which would be even more expensive.

Yes, I was joking about the Verizon office, but I guess if AT& T isn't helping, I could wander in there---all they can say is no.
