From BB to Incredible (Have issues, need help, advice)

browser itself is gay, and screen is small

How about I say that BB OS is as boring as being a breeder? Especially one who goes down on his gf's fishy tuna vag?

BB's O/S will not get any better until they move away from the archaic Java based O/S. They have some really great phones, when a work place gives them to you and all you use them for is email and phone calls. When you start trying to do some fun stuff on them you run into issues, and after moving to an incredible I now realize more than ever how bad the social interaction with twitter etc. and surfing the internet is, not to mention the apps. Very limited apps and just about everything is payware. And expensive payware at that, I've got apps that did just about everything that the apps did on my blackberry and haven't spent a dime yet on an app. I can put up with some small adverts for free games etc.

I love my incredible!

Get the free app in Android Marketplace called No Lock. Eliminates the need to swipe or enter pw. As soon as you press the power/lock button, it's right back to your homescreen.

Not quite what we're looking for. We just want the backlight to turn off after XX minutes, but have the pattern lock kick in after YY Minutes. I LIKE have a security feature on my phone. I'm just not paranoid to have to have it kick in after a minute.

Yeah I used to have my StormSlider setup like that where the actual lock/password wouldn't kick in until 3 minutes after the screen dimmed. That would be a nice feature to have.

Ah, I see. Good luck in your search.

Anybody figured out how to export BlackBerry password store contents? I tried Magicberry but that only does contacts, calendars etc. I got my ipd backup file but I'm sure it's a BB proprietary format. I just don't feel like manually copying 100+ password entries.

You will probably have too, because like you said BB is proprietary and they aren't going to leak an SDK on how to retrieve passwords off or from a Blackberry.

I'm looking into the "Inc" and wanted to see if anyone can tell me how durrable this phone is? Along with the droid. I'm on my 3rd S2 because if it gets tapped in the right place at the wrong time, the screen shatters.

Any insight?

a hard case would likely help, jetta. i use a glossy skin to cover mine, and it feels safe enough for me. although, i don't work in construction by any means.

Thanks for the info Tony and Tbolt. It's not that i work in constuction, it's just my random acts of not relizing where my phone is that lead to moments of "AWE CR**!" LOL

Big Red has a Body Glove style case which is big and protective. Im sure that Otterbox will also come out with some beefy cases. I have always liked Seidio's Innocase II cases so I will be getting one of those when they have them available.

Does Android have any sort of software for PC/Mac similar to BB Desktop Manager? If so, how does it compare?

Also has anyone paired their Inc. with PC via bluetooth?
I love how easy it is with Win7 and BB and how I can transfer files easily and also use DM via bluetooth

Nope it syncs with your gmail account however if you are looking for backup/restore, there are apps that will create backups of your device to your sd card

is there anything like berrybuzz for the incredible?

Coming from a BB i always used berrybuzz and is the one app I would have to say I miss the most. I havent seen anything like that however the notification led is so tiny its basically useless
