I want to go back to root with stock rom. Im running gb now with mr 2.5. Do I flash the radio first then restore my backup?? Where do I find the original radio? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

First off, let me just recommend NOT doing exactly what you describe.

If you go back to a "stock" ROM, there's a good chance you could get the next Verizon update pushed to your phone, which could cause you to lose root...and with the next update, there will be no way to get root back!

If you want to a run a good Froyo ROM that is very stable and pretty close to stock, try BAMF 1.8.6:
[FROYO] Das BAMF 1.8.6
There's also the remix version which is essentially the same w/ some modded theme elements:
[FROYO] Das BAMF Remix 1.8.6 | MR2 Radio and Custom Kernel Support

Both of these work with the MR2 radio versions, so there would be no need to install a new one, unless you were other having radio issues.

If you're new at ROM flashing, may want to check the sticky posts and my guide on backing up and restoring apps:

Tbh i was thinking of UNrooting. Qik or other video camera applications won't work. I get fc's. My phone just shuts off and I need to pull battery to restart. And a few small other quirks. Hopefully htc will push gb soon. I flashed roms almost daily on my d1. But.... Seems like not as much dev support on this phone. I miss sending video messages to my friends. Sooooo.... Idk..... :-X

Don't get me wrong..... I really appreciate what the devs have done. But, not sure they have perfected the roms enough for me to run them. Guess i don't have the time right now to keep up with the tech of roms right now.... And the small hiccups they have. Though I do think that htc should hire these guys to fix the tb problems.

I have to agree that I would strongly recommend not unrooting your phone. There will soon be no way to get root back. Yes there are some bugs in the GB releases but that is because they are just test versions of the software.

I would strongly recommend trying out Das BAMF 1.8.6 with one of the newer radios, such as 627. This is a rock solid froyo ROM with some nice extra features added. I put it on a friends phone and she loves it and has had zero reboots.

I second this. The GB roms are rough around the edges, but BAMF 1.8.6 (Froyo) is solid as a rock...standard or remix.

Ok. I WILL try that out. I appreciate your input. I'll flash this week. Thanks alot!!!
