From Windows Phone to Motorola E4 Calendar Question

Hi,

I'm moving from windows phone over to android phone specifically the Moto E4.
I have an outlook.com account that has my email, contact and calendar info.
I've created a gmail account as I needed that for the android phone but I don't use the gmail account for anything else.

I have installed the outlook app and have email working.
I've used the default contacts app and been able to have that sync with my contacts on outlook.com and can edit/change/add on phone and the web and they all sync which is great.

Where I've run into trouble is with the calendar. The outlook app has the calendar inbuilt so if I want to look at calendar I have to go into the email app but more importantly I can't see any notifications because its part of the email app.

So, I'd like to use the default calendar app and simply link in the outlook.com calendar and all should be good. I've read heaps of posts/articles where they say I just add another calendar and they show the steps of using the menu bar (hamburger) to access the option from settings within the calendar app.

However, with the Moto E4 there is no where that I can find that option so I'm guessing that option must be hidden but I don't understand why.

Q) Is there a way to unhide that option so I can add another calendar?

Q) Is that option buried somewhere else on the phone?

Q) Is there any another way I can get another calendar into the system?

Any help most appreciated

Cheers
Peter
