Front camera looks awful on Skype?

I'm usin the phone for Skype. And in all different light conditions the person at the other end is telling me I look as though they're seeing me through night vision.goggles with a greenish Hugh. Anyone else having similar issues with front facing camera video? Mind you, to me I don't look great but not quite so bad in my screen view box.

Use the Mirror App to check your front camera. One came on my HOX, but there are several free ones in the market.


If your phone is like mine, its just that the front camera is dirty/smudged.

Fold a corner in a micro-fiber lens cloth and clean it. With a clean lens, the front camera is quite good.
I suppose its also possible your upload bandwidth is in-sufficient.

I was wrong. Not fixed. Camera clean as a whistle and again I'm being told I look like I'm being seen thru night vision goggles. Also, when I switch camera to back camera they say it's the same. Has to be a Skype software issue. Will reinstall and report back......

The Sony ion guys have this problem also. Did Skype say the att hox I'd incompatible?
